About Stan

Stanley Lau is the Founder and CEO of Hawaii Tech Support, a company deeply rooted in the values of trust, helpfulness, and compassion. Under his leadership, HTS has become a cornerstone for businesses across Hawaii, safeguarding them against cyber threats and empowering them to harness technology for growth and innovation. With over twenty-five years of experience in areas such as cybersecurity, IT & cloud solutions, and technology consulting, Stan has built a team of dedicated professionals committed to service excellence.
A proud graduate of Pearl City High School, Stan remains actively involved in his alma mater as a member of the Tech and Design Academy Advisory Board, where he mentors students and helps shape the future of Hawaii’s tech workforce. His commitment to a tech enabled workforce is also evident in HTS’ partnerships with the UH System and the Chamber of Commerce Hawaii. Through consistent delivery of excellence, HTS has been recognized as one of Hawaii’s Fastest 50 growing companies, Healthiest Employers, and Best Small Family-Run Business.

A graduate of UCLA with a Bachelors of Science in Computer Science and Engineering, Stan has also been honored by Pacific Business News as one of Hawaii’s 40 under 40. Why do you want to become a mentor in this program?
To give back and provide guidance and advice that can help young professionals excel. I was a beneficiary of mentoring relationships and saw the impact of the mentoring 1st hand.

What specific skills, knowledge or experience can you share with your mentee?
Entrepreneurship, Leadership, Technology, Organizational Development, Business Development

What are your expectations for a mentor-mentee relationship?
Good communication, consistently participates and is timely. The Mentee is should know what they want out of the time spent together.

How do you approach problem-solving and conflict resolution?
To understand the situation, data, and information then listen to perspectives to fully understand the issues, then work collectively to find the best solution.

How do you envision success for your mentee, and how will you measure it during the program?
Success is where a mentee comes prepared with 3 items the Mentee wants to learn or overcome and that we can effectively complete or resolve those items by the end of the program.
