MidWeek Central Oahu Voice: Applications open for mentorship

Mark your calendars, Central O‘ahu residents: applications are now open for Cohort 10 of the Mentor Hawai‘ i program. Sponsored by The Chamber of Commerce Hawai‘i Young Professionals and American Savings Bank, the six-month mentorship program connects the state’s rising talent with distinguished leaders from an array of industries.

This partnership is designed to encourage professional growth, networking, community impact and leadership development.

Early-bird pricing is $300 and is available through Jan. 16. The final deadline to apply is Jan. 23. The regular price is $325.

“Mentor Hawai‘i has become a vital pipeline for nurturing young talent, helping participants achieve remarkable success and shaping Hawai‘i’s business landscape,” states Sherry Menor, president and CEO of Chamber of Commerce Hawai‘i. “Cohort 10 is poised to make history with its largest group of mentors yet, and we are grateful to American Savings Bank for their continued support in making this program possible.”

Since its launch in 2017 with four mentors and eight mentees, Mentor Hawai‘i has seen major growth. Cohort 10 will feature a record-breaking 44 mentors, including 10 who have participated for more than five years, demonstrating a strong dedication to cultivating Hawai‘i’s future leaders. To date, leaders representing more than 80 organizations have served as mentors.

All aspiring leaders, including past mentees, are encouraged to apply for Mentor Hawai‘i’s Cohort 10. Priority will be given to first-time participants to foster fresh opportunities for professional growth.
